About Scout Alaska I am a graduate of Brooks Institute of Photographic Arts & Science in Santa Barbara Calif. My degree is in Professional Photography with an emphasis in Motion Picture Production. Comfortable shooting in Large Format 4x5 for architectural interiors & exteriors for clients such as Architects, Interior Designers, and Contractors. Some Architects have won international design awards using my photographs. Some of my Architectural photographs have been published in Magazines. I use a medium format hasselblad for most studio portraiture work. I photograph families, children, mothers & babies, seniors etc. I have a studio at my place of business. I have had photographs published in OPRAH magazine and several others. Small format 35mm I use for sports photography (hockey) and for talent & location scouting. I use the Canon EOS camera system in this format. I do not have a digital back yet for my 35mm system but hope to purchase one by the end of the year. What I like most about photography is to make people look beautiful. More beautiful than they really are. I like to capture a moment in time. A mother and baby and convey the bond or love and care you can see on the mother's face. The happiness or innocence of childhood. The proud ness of a teen athlete, the love of a grandparent with his grand-children.
